If you are near an airport or the coast you will need to contact the Aviation Authority and Coast Guard to let them know that you plan on releasing Chinese Lanterns. You may also need a permit if you are releasing large quantities of lanterns.

* Sky Lanterns should not be used in wet or very windy weather.

You must wait until the sky lantern is filled with hot air before trying to release them. They will tug in your hands when they are ready to be released. If released too soon, they will just drop to the ground.

Sky Lanterns are not safe for children to use.Two people will be required - one to hold the lantern and one to light it with a lighter.
